Our story
Isolve was born from the entrepreneurial vision of Per Erik Holm. In 1997, he founded Varmepumpen AS to help homeowners replace oil-based heating systems with environmentally friendly heat pumps. As buildings became more airtight and energy efficiency requirements increased, the company changed its name to Isolve AS in 2018, reflecting its broader mission to develop holistic indoor climate solutions.
Per Erik holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s in Energy Management. His background includes leading the development of an air-to-water heat pump for Toshiba/ABK and serving as editor of the Norwegian trade journal Norsk VVS. In 2015, inspired by the green transition, he began developing a new type of integrated, low-energy heating system. After years of prototyping, testing, and patent work, the result became Isolve Air, a complete, intelligent climate system for modern homes.

Our technology
Isolve Air is more than a heat pump. It is a fully integrated indoor climate system that combines heating, cooling, ventilation, and hot water in one compact unit. It’s based on a patented compression process and a tri-source CO₂ heat pump that draws energy from outdoor air during the day and from its internal thermal energy store at night. The result is outstanding efficiency and year-round comfort, even in cold climates.
Key advantages
Integrated design, combining heat pump, ventilation, and energy storage in one unit for plug-and-play installation.
Natural refrigerant that uses CO₂ (R744), safe for both people and the planet with zero ozone impact and negligible GWP.
Compact footprint that requires less than one square meter of floor space, ideal for new-build homes.
Energy storage that relies on phase-change technology to store and release energy for both heating and cooling, providing up to 14 kWh of free cooling.
Balanced ventilation that delivers fresh, filtered air while recovering heat from exhaust air.
Prefabrication and modularization that reduce installation time, cost, and complexity.
Innovations include tri-source operation, two-temperature hot-water heating, direct room-heat control, and other unique features that make Isolve Air truly one of a kind.
Together, these innovations form a compact, quiet, and future-proof system that dramatically reduces household energy use while maximizing indoor comfort, without outdoor units, without boreholes, and without synthetic refrigerants.

Our mission
Our mission is to make sustainable indoor climate systems the natural choice for every new home. Isolve Air is engineered for the energy-efficient houses of tomorrow, homes that require minimal power, provide optimal comfort, and support the transition toward a zero-emission society. By storing and redistributing energy intelligently, the system helps stabilize power grids and makes better use of renewable energy when it’s available.
Per Erik Holm envisions a future where ordinary families live in net-zero homes with rooftop solar panels, electric cars connected through vehicle-to-grid charging, and Isolve Air as the heart and lungs of the house. We work with forward-thinking partners who share our belief that comfort, efficiency, and sustainability can coexist in every modern building.
